Heritage Foods rubbishes YSRCP charge on ghee supply to TTD

Vijayawada: Describing as false, malicious and grossly incorrect claims made by B. Karunakar Reddy and others from the YSR Congress Party, Heritage Foods Limited has condemned the allegations connecting the company to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) during 2014-2019 in the case relating to the purchase and supply of ghee from Maharashtra’s Indapur Dairy.
Heritage Foods Limited in a release on Friday vehemently refuted and condemned the allegations falsely linking the company to Indapur Dairy and fabricating claims about ghee supplied to TTD. "The false stories are propagated by the YSR Congress Party through its mouthpiece, Sakshi Media Group and recycled and recirculated by certain political leaders and politically motivated social media activists.
In the release, J Samba Murthy, Chief Operaing Officer, Heritage Foods Ltd said, “The false allegations propagated by Karunakar Reddy, Sakshi Media Group, and other political leaders/social media activists of YSR Congress Party claiming that Heritage Foods supplied ghee to TTD during 2014-2019 is a blatant lie, wholly defamatory, and only politically motivated.
"It looks like these liars are desperately and repeatedly trying to link any company that every supplied ghee to TTD, with Heritage Foods. We would like to categorically condemn these motivated lies, and clearly state Heritage Foods has no linkage whatsoever with ghee supplied to TTD, at any point in time.”
Speaking on the issue, Murthy added, “These malicious allegations are a deliberate attempt to impugn the reputation of a company that has honourably served lakhs of farmers and millions of consumers with unwavering integrity for over 33 years. We categorically reject these lies and will not remain silent while deliberate misinformation is spread on matters involving the religious sentiments of crores of devotees.”
The company stated that Indapur Dairy is not a unit of Heritage Foods Limited. Indapur Dairy is an entirely independent private dairy company in Maharashtra with its own operations across the world. There exists no ownership, management, operational or organizational relationship whatsoever between our companies.
Heritage Foods have only contract manufacturing arrangement for paneer, cheese, SMP and UHT Milk as a buyer of these products from them. The Company has never had any contract with any company, including Indapur Dairy, for the manufacture or supply of ghee to TTD, he stated.
